So Happy It's Over

Saturday night's crazy wedding reception had its highs and lows. I'm just so glad it's over, and I can get back to real life and enjoying married life.

The pattern was really easy to make. I enjoyed the four days of working on it, and it really went by quickly and painlessly. I really love the color of the final product. I decided to go with Charcoal yarn, which goes with practically everything in my sister's closet.

Trying on some stuff for fun

 Decided to go to Anthro @ Rockefeller Center today to check out the sale. Ended up trying on some of the new dresses that came in.

Serengeti Sundress

Thought the dress was cute online, but definitely changed my mind once I was in the fitting room.

 

Oroya Dress

This dress would definitely be one that the Hubby would like since it does great things for my "assets" ... but I was very uncomfortable.

  

Swinging Sweetheart Dress

I tried this lovely on because it looks so parisian ... and I think Tazy would appreciate it. However, the pink top is very sheer, and I feel like it runs large.

Traced Twirls Dress

I'm a huge fan of any dress that looks like I could go swing dancing in it. I loved the pattern and the bodice, but I'm not to crazy about halter dresses. I did like the pink accent underneath.

Though I didn't buy any of these dresses, I did walk away with the three lovelies below for about $10 each. Yeay me!

Though my goal this year is to drastically cut back on my clothing spending, I've decided to amp up one of my favorite pastimes: crocheting and knitting. So currently I'm working on a top secret project for Tazy to wear.

They're NAVY????

I've always wanted navy heels, and always felt sad that I couldn't find a pair that went with anythinig in my closet. I do own a lot of blue things, but none of the navy heels I've tried look particularly nice.

Then a couple of days ago I went shopping with my Anthro birthday coupon, and happened to find a cute pair of shoes in clearance that I bought along with a new dress for my birthday. I have a tendancy to buy black shoes without much thought, so I didn't really stop to examine the shoes I picked up. As far as I could tell, they were black. 

Imagine my surprise when I read that they are NAVY! I'm ecstatic that I found a pair that isn't so blatantly blue that it doesn't go with anything in my closet.
